Our puppies are all carefully raised in and around our home with the utmost attention to health and wellbeing - please see our website page 'How our puppies are raised' . We are a Puppy Culture focussed kennel with Candy having completed three full Puppy Culture courses, 'With Open Arms and a Level Head: How to Welcome a Puppy Into Your Life", ‘The Joy of Singletons’ and ‘From Newborn to New Home’ in addition to watching the standard Puppy Culture video that is often referenced by other breeders. With a strong focus on health here at Cadenzahgold, Candy has also completed a Canine Nutrition Diploma.
We go the extra mile to establish a sound start both mentally and physically for our puppies that includes foundation training for puppies including Toilet / Crate training, Resource Guarding, Recall, Paying Attention, Clicker Training and general confidence training in a variety of environments. We also expose our puppies to a variety of raw, cooked, fermented and processed foods during the weaning the process to increase gut health and establish strong gut biome to support strong immune systems and better overall health.
All our mother dogs are extremely well bred from show bloodlines and are much loved family pets who love people (especially visitors!). We work hard to ensure low hip and elbow and scores, provide clear heart and eye certificates for all parents of litters and conduct full DNA panel testing on all parents as well. The results of DNA testing is then used to carefully select appropriate sires for each litter to ensure none of our puppies are affected by conditions such as PRA1/2 and Ichthyosis.
All of our puppies are vet checked by vets and health passports supplied at point of sale. Pups are also micro-chipped and vaccinated at 6 weeks of age prior to being offered for sale.
All puppies are sent home with an extremely comprehensive information package that includes a copy of a Golden Retriever specific Puppy Book, a second booklet 'Puppy Fitness that Fits the Puppy - Age Appropriate Guidelines', by Jane Messineo Lindquist that provides week by week advice on how to exercise your puppy through to 2 years of age as well as life time access to a Puppy Culture course about bringing a new puppy into your home. There is also about a month’s supply of quality Royal Canin kibble, six MONTHS pre-paid Pet Insurance through Knose Pet Insurance, as well as all the guarantees provided by an ethical registered breeder including adherence to the Dogs Victoria Code of Practice (a copy of this document is available for download here: https://dogsvictoria.org.au/members/members-area/members-resources/code-of-practice/code-of-practice-information-booklet.html.)
We ensure that all puppies are in the best possible state of both physical and mental health at point of sale. Where there are known physical abnormalities (a rare occurrence), a health declaration is provided with the puppy at point of sale that explains how the abnormality may affect the future health and welfare of the puppy/dog and we will commit to providing ongoing practical and financial support for the health issue as necessary.
We are also happy to take back the puppy and provide a refund to 75% of the purchase price for any puppy returned to us within 3 days of sale, for any reason not supported by a statement from a veterinary practitioner. Where a puppy or dog is returned within 21 days of sale accompanied by a statement from a veterinary practitioner that the animal is unacceptable for health reasons, we will take back the puppy and provide a 100% refund of purchase price.
In addition to the above, if one of our puppies or dogs is diagnosed with, suffering from, dies of, or is euthanased from a physical defect or disease that is directly traceable to the point of sale within 3 years of purchase, subject to the owner making veterinary reports and test results available to us, and us obtaining a second veterinary opinion supporting the physical defect or disease, we will refund 100% of the purchase price.
New owners will be required to meet us and our puppies after they turn 6 weeks of age and then will be asked to return after the puppies are 8 weeks old to pick them up.

Pay the entire amount or a part of the entire amount using DogzOnline's DogzPay. Pay via debit or credit card (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, and more). Dogzonline DogzPay is only accessible to ANKC/Dogs Australia Registered breeders. DogzPay incurs a a small payment processing and protection fee of 3.5% of the price of the puppy in addition to the price of the puppy purchased. RIGHTPAW PAY
Pay the entire amount or a part of the entire amount using RightPaw Pay. Register as a puppy buyer with RightPaw, submit an application for a puppy through the RightPaw website and pay via RightPaw Pay. RightPaw Pay accepts most payment types including Apple Pay and credit card. RightPaw Pay will require you to answer a series of questions regarding yourself before setting up RightPaw Pay and you will be required to submit an application through the RightPaw website for the specific puppy you are purchasing (we can set the puppy up for you to select via the website). Cadenzahgold is proud to announce we have passed all the RightPaw auditing requirements to be listed as an Outstanding Breeder . This means we have clearly demonstrated (with evidence) the following:
- A minimum of 3 years breeding experience (we have over 23 years experience)
- An exceptional puppy socialisation program (we are trained in and deliver the Puppy Culture program)
- Conducting a minimum of all Core health test for our breed, for every breeding dog in our program (Hips,elbows, eyes, hearts and DNA)
- Exceptional communication with puppy buyers including prompt response time
- A fully completed, thorough RightPaw breed profile displaying upcoming litters, current litters and our parent dogs
- We allow puppy payments securely via RightPaw Pay
